SYMPTOM

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
Check valve missing or corroded.
Trigger gun is malfunctioning.
Safety Relief device is relieving
caused by an unloader or pressure
switch malfunction.
Switch is not in "Burner"
position.
No voltage.
Out of fuel.
Fuel pickup screen obstructed.
Trigger gun is closed.
Pressure switch override.
High limit switch override.
Flexible coupler broken.
Dirty or clogged fuel filter/water sep.
Fuel pump sucking air.
Fuel pump inoperative.
Dirty or clogged fuel nozzle.
Improper burner air adjustment.
Ignition transformer failure.
Ignition electrodes damaged or worn.
Fuel solenoid valve failure.
High PSI mode.
Steam Mode.
Steam mode: Pump Head PSI too
high.
Primary control lock-out.
REMEDY
Remove, clean or replace.
Repair or replace.
Install.
1.Detect and correct unloader or
pressure switch problem.
2. Replace safety relief device.
NEVER run unit without safety
relief device. Doing so can
cause an explosion!
Check switch position.
Contact Customer Service.
Refuel. (Reset burner primary
control on cad cell options.)
Consult Service.
Open trigger gun for pressure.
Pressure should be over 250 PSI
to allow burner to come on.
Unit will automatically reignite when
cool.
Replace.
Drain or replace as necessary.
Tighten all fuel intake connections.
Eliminate leaks in intake line.
Check pressure, replace if needed.
Replace.
Adjust as explained on page 18.
Replace.
With unit running and trigger gun
closed, look through burner sight
glass to ensure there is sparking
across electrodes.
Replace.
Verify Burner/Steam switch is in
"Burner" mode.
Verify Burner/Steam switch is in
"Steam" mode.
Reduce pressure to 350PSI.
Reset.
