Thanks for purchasing from us. Please feel free to contact our service whenever you need help. This
manual is applicable for Economic AHD series (4/8/16 channels), which also works for other channels.
Only a few instructions for product operations are included, for more information, please read the user
manual in the CD at first page.
Any enhancement in the product features shall be added into the manual consistently without further
notice.
Device login
1. HDD installation (skip this if you don't need video storage)
1) Unplug your DVR from power, unscrew and remove the top cover.
2) Connect the SATA power and data cables from the DVR to the corresponding ports on your Hard
Disk (as shown).
3) Place the Hard Disk into the DVR. Any cable should cross up over the Hard Disk.
4) Holding the Hard Disk and the DVR, gently turn it over and line up the holes on the Hard Disk with
the holes on the DVR. Using a screwdriver, screw the provided screws into the holes. Assemble the
cover.
Note:
After installing a Hard Disk, you need to first format the Hard Disk before recording.
Right click the mouse>[ Main menu]>[Advanced]>[Storage]>Select the Hard Disk>[Format
Storage]
2. Boot up
Connect the power adapter to the DC port, the indicator on the front panel turns on , AHD boots up.
Note:
1) Use matched adapter to avoid abnormal situation or damage to the main board of the DVR.
2) Shut down power switch (some might have power switches)
3. Shut down
To shut down the devices, there are soft-off and hard-off
Soft-off: Go to [Main Menu]>[Logout]>[Shut down]
Hard-off: UnPlug the power on the rear panel.
Note:
1) Power recovery: When AHD is shut down abnormally, reboot it, all recordings will be saved
automatically and restore to the previous status.
2) Replace the HDD: Shut down the Power before replacing.
