4 | Installation

Before installing the angled valve stems, you must remove the wheels from your motorcycle and
take the tyres off the rims. For this job, you should refer to the workshop manual for your particular
motorcycle model.
After taking the tyres off the rims, you can remove your existing tyre valves. Then check that the
angled valve stems fit the holes in the rims (11.3 mm diameter) and can be screwed tight at right-
angles to the direction of travel so that they rest up against the rims, forming a perfect seal. Make
sure the sealing surface is smooth and clean. Apply a drop of medium-strength threadlock adhesive
(available separately) to the thread of the angled valve stems and insert the stems through the
holes. Check that the rubber seals are fully in contact with the rims. Then screw on the nuts with
the shoulder facing the rim. Tighten the nuts with a torque wrench. Do not exceed 8 Nm torque. The
setting time of the threadlock adhesive is approx. 24 hours at 22°C ambient temperature.
Then fit the tyres with the correct direction of rotation and check the wheel balance. Now you can
re-install the wheels on your motorcycle following the instructions in the workshop manual for your
particular motorcycle model.

5 | Storage

Keep the angled valve stems in their original packaging and store in a dry place.

6 | Cleaning and care

Never point a powerful water jet (or steam jet cleaner) directly at the angled valve stems. Remove
any dirt with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner intended for use on vehicle paintwork.

7 | Warranty

Your angled valve stems are covered by the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty period
begins on the date of purchase. It does not cover normal wear and tear, use for anything other than
the intended purpose, or damage caused by an accident, manipulation or attempted repairs by
unauthorised persons.
