Operation of the transmitter antenna joint
GB
The transmitter antenna has a joint that allows
vertical and side-to-side positioning (from about -
10° to 80° or +/- 45°). The transmission power is
given in each position. During normal operation, the
antenna is set straight up. The antenna should not
point directly at the model, because this can
shorten the transmission range somewhat. During
special operation, therefore, a folded position can
also be an advantage.
In borderline cases (large models, terrain with a lot
of obstacles), range tests should be done.
Charging Jack
Note: ON/OFF Switch should be at "OFF"
position before charging the batteries for the
transmitter. Only Nickel-Cadmium or Nickel-
Metalhydride batteries (Ni-Cd / NiMH), such as
CARSON 609000 or its equivalents, are to be
recharged. If you attempt to recharge other types
of batteries, they may burst and cause injury or
damage to you and others. DO NOT RECHARGE
OTHER TYPES OF BATTERIES, SUCH AS
ALKALINE!
