BATTMAN II BATTERY MONITOR
The BATTMAN monitoring system combines many
functions in one:
• Function I:
Very precise digital read-out of the battery voltage
or the charge voltage.
• Function II:
Accurate read-out of the current that flows into
the battery when charging through a solar panel,
alternator or charger.
• Function III:
"Tank meter" function; accurate information about
either the energy consumption (used Ah = Amp.
houres) or the charged current, indicated in Amp.
houres.
HOW TO USE THE BATTMAN MONITORING
SYSTEM
The BATTMAN instrument is supplied with all
necessary parts to built it in. Installation is easy and
can be done within a short time. The instrument can
be used as a 'tank meter'. As the BATTMAN measu-
res current (A) and time (h), Ah is obtained as a pro-
duct of multiplication. This means that you can al-
ways read off the remaining battery capacity.
In addition you can get answers to the following
questions:
• How much current is used by different appliances?
• How high current does the battery accept while
being charged ?
• What is the present battery voltage ?

INSTALLATION & USE
The BATTMAN is supplied with 1 shunt, 1 cable set,
1 instrument ø 52 mm, 1 cover ring & 1 push button.
Install the instrument in a suitable location as follows:
1 The front is fitted to the instrument with a bayonet
mounting. It can be removed by turning it anti-
clockwise and...
2 ... refitted by pushing it back and turning it clock-
wise. Use the square gasket with the square front
and the round with the round front. The square
front comes with the instrument.
3 If space behind the instrument is insufficent, pull
leads out through the mounting hole and connect
them to the instrument before it is fitted...
