INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS U-HANDLE COMBO KIT
10. Install upper U-Handle and bracket on lower bracket and secure
with one (1) 8 mm x 55 mm bolt (M) and large circular washer.
11. Carefully fit drive shaft assembly to engine making sure inner
drive shaft engages into clutch socket.
NOTE
Lower gear housing front handle, and engine must be aligned.
(SRM-260/261 Only)
12A. Tighten bolt (E).
(SRM-311/311S Only)
12B. Turn drive shaft housing until locating hole lines up with location
hole in clamp and install center drive shaft location bolt (G).
Tighten one right side drive shaft clamp bolt (F).
(All Models)
13. Route throttle linkage and ignition lead assembly behind U-Handle
bracket and clip to drive shaft as shown.
14. Attach inner throttle cable to carburetor swivel (D).
15. Place throttle linkage in slot of carburetor bracket with one nut (C)
on each side of bracket. Finger tighten both nuts. Check throttle
for freedom of movement and that wide open throttle / low idle
extremes are adjusted properly. If adjustment cannot be achieved
with adjusting nuts, consult with your Echo Dealer for correct
adjustment procedure.
16. Connect ignition leads (A) and (B).
