Instruction Manual
The Clean and Drybox cleans the hearing
aid by means of UVC and dries by means of
heating. Hereby the moisture is removed by
the heating cycle. The UVC light removes dirt
and the possible presence of bacteria from your
hearing aids.
This allows the hearing aid to perform better,
so that it creates a better hearing effect and can
help to prevent skin irritations, itching, rashes or
ear infections.
WARNING:
THE Clean & Dry Box 3.2 CONTAINS HIGH
PRESSURE. IT SHOULD ONLY BE OPENED
OR REPAIRED BY PROFESSIONALS.
SUITABLE FOR RECHARGEABLE HEARING
EQUIPMENT
IMMEDIATELY REPORT ANY SERIOUS INCIDENTS
TO THE MANUFACTURER.
Instructions for use:
1. Please insert one end of the supplied MICRO
USB cable into the MICRO USB port of the
Clean & Dry Box 3.2.
2. Insert the other end of the cable into the USB
port of the transformer. After connecting it to
the power grid, five LEDs on the Clean & Dry
Box 3.2 will light up from left to right. This will
be repeated three times, at which point the Dry
Box is now ready for use. The standby function
is now enabled.
3. Clean the hearing aid according to the
manufacturer's cleaning instructions. After
wiping it with a dry towel, place the hearing
aid inside the Clean & Dry Box 3.2, distributed
across the right and left side of the tray and
close the lid. For a non-rechargeable hearing
aid, remove the batteries from the device.
4. Press the start button once. The five LEDs will
light up (four white and one blue) and the
Clean & Dry Box 3.2 will begin its 5-hour cycle.
5. When all of the LEDs are turned on, the warm
air flow starts to work. An airflow of 30 degrees
Celsius flows along the sides of the box to
warm up the hearing aid during this period.

Simultaneously, the UV-C light (wavelength
254 nm) is turned on, which cleans the hearing
aid. After approximately eight minutes, the
cleaning process is complete and the UV-C
light turns off, however the flow of hot air
continues.
The LEDs indicate the remaining heating
period:
First 75 minutes
LED 1 blinks and
then turns off
Second 75 minutes LED 2 blinks and
then turns off
Third 75 minutes
LED 3 blinks and
then turns off
Fourth 75 minutes
LED 4 blinks and
then turns off
Finally, LED 5 will turn green and start to blink.
The entire 5-hour cycle is now complete.
The flow of hot air will be switched off. If the
device is accidentally opened while the UV-C
light is still on, the computer will turn off
the UV-C light safely and end the calculated
UV-C time. After completion of the heating
period, the Clean & Dry Box 3.2 will turn off
automatically and the green LED will continue
to blink for 3 hours. If you have to interrupt the
dehumidification process or the UV-C process,
press and hold the start button for at least 3
seconds or disconnect the power source.
6. Let your hearing aid cool down for at least 5
minutes, then the device is ready for use again.
7. When using a different transformer, the
delivered Voltage should be between
4.75V and 5.25V, and the current should be
approximately 500mA, otherwise the Clean &
Dry Box 3.2 may break down or it may not
work properly.
8. The Clean & Dry Box 3.2 automatically recognizes
the USB2.0 computer current (500mA); you only
need to connect it to the USB port. If the USB
power source only supplies 500mA, the Clean &
Dry Box 3.2 will be set to 500mA mode. Because
the heating power is small, the temperature
might not reach 30 degrees Celsius. If the USB
plug is not inserted correctly or the effectively
supplied current is below 500mA, the Clean &
Dry Box 3.2 will stop working.
When you want to leave the 500mA mode,
please disconnect the transformer for at least
10 seconds. Reconnect the device with a
transformer that supplies a current of more
than 1A, and a Voltage of 5V. The Clean & Dry
Box 3.2 will restart in 1000mA mode.
9. When the device is not in use for a longer
period of time, or when leaving the house,
please disconnect the device from the power
source.
Care of the UVC Clean & Drybox 3.2: When
cleaning your UVC Clean & Dry Box 3,2, first
disconnect it from the power supply. We
recommend using moist wipes for cleaning the
drying station. Please avoid direct contact with
water. Only the inner element can be removed
and may be rinsed under running water (see
illustration on page 4).
