    Journey 2. Introduction: About Your Lift The Oxford Journey is an electrically operated patient lift. Each Journey lift is fully assembled, load tested and certified before being packed/shipped. The packing consists of a strong, purpose built carton to ensure the safe arrival of the lift.

    Remove all the parts from the carton and place on the floor, taking care to protect the finish from damage. Lift the Oxford Journey carefully from the carton. Lie the lift flat on the floor and ensure the rear castors are securely locked.
  • Page 6 E n g l i s h Journey To unfold the Oxford Journey into its ready-to-use position, raise the mast assembly upright. This is achieved by pressing the mast release button located under the actuator (as shown). This will release the mast assembly and allow the mast to be raised. Using the top of the push handle, raise the mast to its upright position and locate the mast into the slot (1).

DISASSEMBLY To disassemble and store the Oxford Journey follow the four easy steps shown below; please note that no additional tools are required. Lower the boom into its lowest possible position and adjust the cow horn to the storage/fold position (as shown).
  • Page 8 “Click” (3). The “Click” indicates the mast is now in its locked position. When folded, lift the Oxford Journey upright using the legs and push handle as a guide. NOTE: If you wish to separate the mast and boom completely from the base and legs, undo the mast-locking lever fully (remove pin assembly from mast) and lift the mast and boom completely free from the base.

    • The up and down buttons on the hand control lower and raise the boom correctly. 4. Sling Guide The Oxford Journey is suitable for patients in the SITTING position. The slings suitable for this device are listed as follows:...
  • Page 11 The patient is now ready to be raised from the seat. Once clear of the seat, the patient will be more comfortable if lowered back in to the sitting position. Joerns Healthcare recommends that slings be checked regularly and particularly before use for signs of fraying or damage.

    Attach the loops of the sling to the grey hooks at the end of the Oxford Journey handgrips. The patient’s hands should be placed on the handgrips (see Fig A or C). Prior to lifting make a visual check to ensure the loops of the sling are secure and in place.

    Operating Instructions 1. Leg Adjustment The legs on the Oxford Journey are adjustable for width. The legs can be opened to enable access around armchairs or wheelchairs. For transferring and negotiating narrow doorways/ passages, the lift legs should be in the closed position. To achieve the adjustment, the leg adjuster pedal, located at the rear of the base, is compressed right (DOWN) to open the legs outwards and left (UP) to close the legs.

    When the power pack needs charging, it can be removed from the lift and fitted to an off board charging unit. The battery charge level is displayed by the indicator on the control box. Joerns Healthcare recommends an additional battery pack is purchased, so that one pack can be on charge at all times 1.

    Retirez toutes les pièces de la boîte et placez-les par terre, en prenant soin de protéger le fini. Soulevez délicatement le lève-personne Oxford Journey pour le sortir de sa boîte. Posez le lève- personne à plat sur le sol et vérifiez que les roulettes arrière sont bien verrouillées.

Pour régler l’écartement des cornes de vache, tirez la gâchette vers l’arrière tout en tenant la corne de vache. Sélectionnez la position désirée parmi les trois indiquées sur l’autocollant (1) et relâchez la gâchette pour verrouiller.

    Le niveau de charge de la batterie est affiché par l’indicateur sur le boîtier de commande. Joerns Healthcare recommande l’achat d’un bloc batterie supplémentaire, afin qu’un bloc soit toujours chargé. 1. Retirez le bloc d’alimentation du lève-personne.     Deutsch Journey 2. Einführung: über den Lifter Der Oxford Journey ist ein elektrisch betriebener Patientenlifter. Der Journey-Lifter wird vor der Auslieferung vollständig montiert, unter Last getestet und zertifiziert. Die Verpackung besteht aus einem festen, zweckmäßig geformten Versandkarton für den sicheren Transport des Lifters.

    Nehmen Sie alle Teile aus dem Karton heraus, legen Sie sie auf den Boden und achten Sie darauf, dass die Oberfläche des Geräts nicht beschädigt wird. Heben Sie den Oxford Journey vorsichtig aus dem Karton. Legen Sie den Patientenlifter flach auf den Boden und achten Sie darauf, dass die hinteren Laufrollen festgestellt sind.
  • Page 58 Deutsch Journey Zum Auseinanderfalten des Oxford Journey in seine betriebsbereite Position den gesamten Mast nach oben falten. Dazu den Entriegelungsknopf für den Mast drücken, der sich unter dem Stellmotor befindet (siehe Abbildung). Dadurch wird der gesamte Mast entriegelt und der Mast kann nach oben gefaltet werden.

DEMONTAGE Zur Demontage und Lagerung des Oxford Journey Patientenlifters sind nur vier einfache Schritte erforderlich; bitte beachten Sie, dass dazu kein zusätzliches Werkzeug benötigt wird. Stellen Sie den Ausleger in die unterste Stellung und den Spreizbügel in die Lager-/ Faltposition (siehe Abbildung).

Damit kann die Betreuungsperson den Spreizbügel in einer Position einstellen, die für den Patienten bequem ist oder der Umgebung angemessen ist. Mit dem Spreizbügel können 3 Positionen eingestellt werden.

    Wenn die Akkueinheit aufgeladen werden muss, wird sie vom Lifter entfernt und an eine externe Ladeeinheit angeschlossen. Der Akkuladestand wird an der Anzeige an der Handbedienung angezeigt. Joerns Healthcare empfiehlt, eine Ersatz-Akkueinheit zu kaufen, sodass eine Einheit ständig geladen sein kann.

    Español Journey 2. Introducción: generalidades sobre el elevador El Oxford Journey es un elevador para pacientes de accionamiento eléctrico. Cada elevador Journey está completamente montado, y ha sido verificado y certificado antes de ser embalado y enviado. El embalaje consta de una caja de cartón resistente, hecha a medida para asegurar que el equipo llegue intacto a su destino.

Las patas pueden abrirse para permitir el acceso alrededor de sillas o de sillas de ruedas. Para transferir y para pasar por pasillos estrechos, las patas del elevador deben estar en posición cerrada.
