• Before setting off with the loaded vehicle, you must check
the tyre pressure in accordance with the specifications of
the vehicle manufacturer.
• The loaded vehicle may display altered road holding as the
position of the centre of gravity changes and the side wind
resistance is larger. A test ride on easy terrain at a gentle
speed is a good way to accustom yourself to the altered road
holding of your bike. Afterwards, we recommend that you do
not exceed a top speed of 120 km/h and that you ride with
particular care in windy or wet conditions.
• Before setting off, and at the latest every 200 km, the loaded
top box must be checked to make sure that it is firmly in place
and that the lid is correctly sealed.
• If you notice rattling noises from the top box when on the
road, you must stop the vehicle in a safe place and check
whether the top box, its lid, racks or contents are loose. Take
corrective action before continuing the journey.
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons,
elderly persons with limited physical and mental abilities) or
lack of experience and knowledge of handling motorcycles
(e.g. older children)!
• The packaging film and small parts must be kept away from
children, as there is a risk of suffocation.
IMPORTANT!
Risk of damage!
• Vehicle parts and any sensitive surfaces which may come into
contact with the top box should be protected from scratches
caused by friction or vibration etc. This can be achieved, for
example by using transparent, self-adhesive protective films
or adhesive tape.
• The top box must not be attached in the direct vicinity of the
exhaust opening or any other hot parts of the vehicle.
