To clean the lid
n
Wash the lid under running water.
To clean the pressure regulator valve
n
Lift it off.
n

Clean the steam outlet with a strong jet of water or
a needle - Fig 14
To clean the safety valve
n
Clean the base of the safety valve inside the lid.
n
Make sure that it works properly by lightly pushing
on the ball which you should be able to push down
without any difficulty. - Fig 16
Storage of your Pressure Cooker
n
Turn the lid upside down on the pan - Fig 17
Make sure your Pressure Cooker is in a stable position.
To ensure that your Pressure Cooker lasts as long
as possible
n
Avoid over-heating the pan when empty.
n
Darkening and lines which may appear after long
use do not matter.
n
If the inside of your pan shows iridescent or white
marks (scale), clean it with white vinegar or with a
special cleaning product for stainless steel.
Safety
Your pressure cooker is equipped with several safety devices, 2 of which are for overpressure:
n
First device: the safety valve releases the pressure and steam escapes from under the clamp - Fig 18a
n
Second device: steam flows from between the lid and the pot - Fig 18b
If one safety system is activated:
n
Turn the heat source off.
n
Let the pressure cooker cool down.
n
Open it.
n
Check the steam outlet, the pressure regulator valve, the safety valve and the gasket.
To clean your Pressure Cooker if it has darkened
n
Clean the pan with a special stainless steel cleaner
sold in your TEFAL Approved Service Centre.
To change the gasket
n
Replace the pressure cooker seal every year or if it
has any splits or is damaged.
n
Always use an original TEFAL seal suitable for
your model.
n
When replacing the seal, please check the
instructions on the back of the packaging.
n
Never shorten the gasket.
