To toggle the display between the current letter's ID and length (Figure 3) and its
Time/Date Stamp (Figure 4), press Shift (8).
In Figure 4, Letter 5 was created on 2/17/98 at 9:30 p.m. Note that the p.m. symbol

Record a New Letter
Recording a new letter in Manage Mode automatically puts the portable into
Record Mode.
1 Press Record/New (5) to start recording a new letter.
2 Press Record/New to stop recording.

Quick Play

Listening to the first ten seconds of each letter can expedite the search function.
1 Press Play/Stop (14) to listen to the first ten seconds of each letter.
2 Press Play/Stop to stop quick-play.
