Changing the Battery in the Remote Control
The battery is already inserted. All you need to do is pull out
the transport safeguard.
Before inserting the battery, check whether it is clean and clean it
if necessary.

3. Slide the battery compartment into the remote control. You

Assembling
1. Place the housings on the boards.
2. Plug the large ground spike into the bottom of the solar unit.
3. Plug the small ground spikes into the boards so that the locking
lugs on the ground spikes fi t into the recesses in the boards.
Turn the ground spikes clockwise until they fi t securely.
Positioning
The solar unit should not be placed near to other light sources
such as street lamps or other lamps, so that the LEDs can be
switched on automatically.
Place the solar unit in a location where the solar panel can absorb
direct sunlight all day long if possible.
Anchor the ground spikes in the ground so that the solar unit and
the lights have a suffi cient amount of space and the cables do not
present a trip hazard.
Please Note: The light chain is splashproof (IP44). Nevertheless,
we recommend setting it up in a location outdoors where it is pro-
tected from rain to ensure that it works perfectly.
Switching On / Off
1. Move the On / Off switch on the bottom of the solar unit to the
ON position to switch on the product.
The battery can now charge up in daylight. When darkness
sets in, the LEDs automatically switch on. When it gets light,
the LEDs switch off and the battery is charged up via the solar
panel.
Before the LEDs can light up, the battery needs to be
charged up for approx. 6 to 8 hours.
2. The LEDs can also be switched on and off using the remote
control. To do this, press the

Cleaning
Keep the solar panel clean so that the greatest possible absorp-
tion of light is ensured. Wipe down the solar panel (and if neces-
sary also the remaining components of the product) with a damp
cloth. Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to
clean the product! These might damage the surface.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner so that it can be recycled.
Non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries should be
removed before the product is disposed of and should be
disposed of separately from the product. To protect the en-
vironment, non-rechargeable and rechargeable batteries
must not be disposed of with normal household waste, but
must be taken to suitable collection points.
This product is governed by the European Directive
2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE). Do not dispose of the product as normal domestic
waste, but rather in an environmentally friendly manner via
an offi cially approved waste disposal company.
Removing the battery: Undo the screws on the bottom of the
solar unit, fl ip up the cover, take out the battery and replace it if
necessary.
