Replacing cartridges

Proceed as follows:
1.
Disconnect the heating system from the power supply.
2. Secure the heating system against unintended reactivation.
3.
If necessary, use the ball valve upstream of the fitting to lock the make-up system.
4.
Lock the make-up pipe to the heating system by closing the user's ball valve downstream of the fitting.
5.
Open the take-off valve of the ball valve upstream of the fitting. The residual pressure in the fitting escapes through the take-off
valve.
6. Wait until the fitting is fully de-pressurised.
7.
Unscrew the filter housing from the filter head.
8.
Remove the spent cartridge.
9.
Clean the filter housing by rinsing it with clean water.
10. Insert the new cartridge into the filter housing. Ensure that the cartridge flat gasket points upward.
11. Manually screw the filter housing with the cartridge into the filter head.
Ensure that the seal is not damaged.
Ensure the correct position of the sealing ring groove in the filter head.
12. Close the take-off valve of the ball valve upstream of the fitting.
13. Slowly open the ball valve. The fitting is filled with water from the make-up system.
14. Wait until the fitting is completely filled with water.
15. Check the fitting for leaks. Re-seal any leaking components.
16. Slowly open the venting screw at the filter head. Vent until bubble-free water escapes.
17. Close the venting screw.
18. Slowly open the ball valve downstream of the fitting.
19. Switch on the heating system.
20. Record the current water level in the supplied machine log for a later inspection of the new cartridge.
The cartridge replacement is completed.
