3. Attach the feed line hoses, item #9, to the master block
outlets. (See ¿ gure 14). A swivel is supplied on one end
of the hose to facilitate assembly between the master block
and the wiper bar. Attach the other end to the 1/8 NPT
elbow ¿ tting on the inlet of each wiper bar. (See ¿ gure 15).
1/8 NPTF ¿ ttings are used on both ends.
Figure 14. Screw the hose ends into the ¿ ttings mounted on the
distribution block.
Figure 15. Screw the hose ends into the ¿ ttings mounted on the wiper

Wheel Sensor Kit, model #273265 (Old Sensor)
For wheel sensor kit, models 86001 or 86002, see Service
page Sec. RR9, Pg 1 (series) for installation and adjustment
information.
A single sensor will provide the necessary signal to the Lincoln
control system for application to trains moving in both direc-
tions on the track, labeled sensor "A". If directional control is
desired, (application in one direction only), use model 274599
Directional Sensor Kit. The directional sensor kit, when added
to the Lincoln wayside control system as sensor "B", will allow
application in one direction only. See Service page Sec. RR4,
Pg 1 (series) for installation instructions for connecting the
sensor to the controller. Installation of the sensor to the track
is detailed below.
1. Refer to Illustrations 6 and 6A for sensor components. (A
small screw driver is packaged with the sensor assembly
for later adjustment of the sensor. Set the screw driver
aside for later use.) The rail sensor should be located
inside the track on the gage face side of the rail, at least 4'
from the nearest wiper bar. Remove enough ballast below
the mounting location to clear the sensor angle assembly,
item #90.
2. Install the sensor assembly 273359, (illustration 6A) to the
sensor angle ass'y. item #90 with four 5/16-24 allen head
cap screws, item #84, and lock washers, item #83. Do not
tighten at this time.
3. The sensor is mounted to the foot of the rail using a base
bracket, item #85, and hook bolt, item #86, with the base
bracket on the gage face side of the rail and the hook en-
gaged with the opposite side of the rail.
4. Place the sensor angle assembly, item #90, over the end
of the base bracket with the threaded end of the hook bolt
protruding though the slot in the sensor angle. Secure
loosely with the ¾-10 nut, item #89, and washers, items
#87 & 88.
