Before Initial Use

cAUTION!
❐ Clean the device before you first use it in order to remove any production residues.
❐ Also note all of the instructions in the "Using the coffee machine" chapter.
❐ Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material away from children and pets.
❐ Make sure the power supply is disconnected when the device is not in use.
1. Unpack all parts and check the items supplied for completeness (see the "Items Supplied and
Device Overview" chapter) and transport damage. If you find any damage to the components,
do not use them (!), but contact the customer service department.
2. Remove any films or stickers that may be present from the device.
3. Clean the coffee machine: Fill the water reservoir with drinking water up to the highest
mark, place the coffee jug on the hotplate and press the
Coffee Machine" chapter). Once the water has fully filtered through into the jug, pour it
away. Repeat this process a second time.
Remove the permanent filter and filter holder from the device and clean it as well as the
coffee jug and its lid thoroughly with a mild detergent and warm water. Wipe down the
housing of the coffee machine with a clean, damp and soft cloth. Dry it with a soft cloth.
