Safety Instructions

Intended Use

❐ The coffee machine may only be used for making filter coffee.
❐ The device should not be used by people (including children) with impaired sensory or mental
faculties or who do not have adequate experience and / or knowledge of such devices, unless
they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety, or have received instructions
from such a person on how to use the device. Children must be supervised in order to
ensure that they do not play with the device.
❐ The device is not designed to be operated with an external timer or a separate remote
control system.
❐ The device is intended for private use, not for commercial use.
❐ Use the device only as described in the instructions. Any other use is considered contrary
to the intended purpose.

Danger of Injury

❐ Danger of injury and suffocation! Keep the device and packaging material away from children
and pets.
❐ The device should only be used and stored out of the reach of children. The mains cable
must also be kept out of the reach of children. Otherwise they might use the cable to pull
the device down on themselves.
❐ CAUTION Danger of scalding! Be careful when handling hot steam, water and surfaces. Only
hold the hot coffee jug by the handle.
❐ During operation, the accessible surfaces can be very hot (e. g. filter holder, hot plate, the
glass of the coffee jug). Only touch the plastic parts and handles of the device and coffee jug.
Do not move the device during operation. The device should only be transported when it
has cooled down.
❐ Be particularly careful when you move the coffee jug with hot coffee inside it. Always make
sure that you pour out the hot coffee slowly and carefully without tipping the coffee jug too
quickly.
