3 | Safety

3.1 | Intended use

The gazzini Mirror is used as a replacement for a faulty original mirror or for enhancing the look of
the motorcycle. The mirror is designed for tubular motorcycle handlebars with an outside diameter of
22 mm (metric) and an inner diameter of between 13.5 and 18 mm. The ends of the handlebar must
be open, i.e. they must not be blocked by thread inserts or similar.
The mirror is E-approved and road-legal in member states of the European Union and states signed
up to the ECE regulations.
To ensure that you use the components correctly and safely on your motorcycle, always adhere to
the specifi cations in your vehicle owner's manual and the directions of the vehicle manufacturer.
The gazzini Mirror must only be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is considered
improper use and can result in material damage. The manufacturer and supplier accept no liability
for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

Only select the clamping sleeve (3 or 4) with the most suitable handlebar inner diameter from the
items included, and push a suitable spacer sleeve (5, 6 or 7) over the clamping sleeve. Insert the
clamping sleeve screw (1) through the threaded fl ange (2). Screw on the clamping sleeve (3 or 4)
with the threaded cone (8) and pre-tighten it so that the sleeve spreads a little and can still just
be pushed into the handlebar. In some circumstances it will be necessary to fi t the enclosed large
clamping sleeve (4) in order to fi ll out the handlebar tube as much as possible. Then insert the
clamping sleeve into the handlebar and make sure that the respective spacer sleeve (5, 6 or 7) is
also inserted in the handlebar tube at the beginning. Then tighten the clamping sleeve screw (1) with
a hexagon key (size 5) so that the threaded fl ange (2) is screwed to the handlebar fi rmly so that it
cannot twist.
