Configuration changes can be made from the serial port using the Command
Line Interface. The default user name is admin, the default password is zhone.
EtherXtend login:admin
Password:zhone
EtherXtend>
To log out of the system, enter the logout command:
EtherXtend> logout

Configure system from the Ethernet port
Before you can use the Ethernet ports to configure the unit, you must first
assign an IP address to the device from the serial port. IP addresses
192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1 are reserved. It is suggested that you use
192.168.3.1 for the IP address.

Connect your PC to the serial port (9600, N, 8,1).
2 Log into the unit
EtherXtend login: admin
Password: zhone
EtherXtend>_
3 Add the IP address.
EtherXtend> config if interface brvlan1 ip 192.168.3.1
mask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.3.255
EtherXtend> exit
EtherXtend> exit
EtherXtend> exit

Save the running configuration, otherwise the change will be lost upon a
power cycle.
EtherXtend> config admin-tools save running-config
EtherXtend> exit
