batteries must be disposed of in specially marked collection containers, at toxic waste collection
points or electrical product retailers. You are legally obligated to dispose of the batteries.
Note: Batteries containing pollutants are marked with the following symbols: Pb = Battery contains
lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg = Battery contains mercury.
Place the scale on a firm, flat surface; a firm floor covering is a basic requirement for correct
weight measurement.

3.2 Measuring weight only

To ONLY measure your weight without specifying a target weight, you must proceed
as follows:
Quickly and firmly tap the standing surface of your scale with your foot. The entire
display (Fig. 1) appears up to "0.0" (Fig. 2) as a self-test (tap-on technology).
Now the scale is ready to measure your weight. Stand on the scale without moving
about and distribute your weight evenly on both legs. The scale immediately begins
to measure your weight. The display "000" flickers until your weight has been mea-
sured (Fig. 3). The scale switches off 15 seconds after you step down from it. The
measuring result remains visible during this time.
3.3 Measuring weight with specified target
First you must store your personal target weight:
– Briefly step onto the scale first and wait until the display "0.0" (Fig. 2) appears.
Then press "SET". Now the first memory preset flashes in the display (Fig. 4).
Select the desired preset by pressing the buttons "up"
confirm the desired preset with the "SET" button. "0.0" appears in the display
(Fig. 2).
– Now step onto the scale to measure your weight. With this weight measurement,
a target weight is now automatically specified, which is 10 % below the deter-
mined value (Fig. 5). You can still change this value with the buttons "up"
"down" .
– Confirm your entry with "SET". Your target weight and the memory preset are
now briefly displayed again.
The scale then automatically switches off.
To measure your weight taking your target weight into account, you must proceed
as follows:
– Briefly step onto the scale first and wait until the display "0.0" (Fig. 2) appears.
– Select the memory preset where your basic personal target weight is stored by
pressing the "User" button repeatedly. If no target weight is stored in a memory
preset, "Err" appears at the upper right (Fig.6). The selected memory preset and
your target weight are displayed until the display "0.0" (Fig. 2) appears.
– Now the scale is ready to measure your weight. Now step onto the scale. Stand
still on the scale with your weight distributed evenly between both legs. The scale
immediately begins to measure your weight. The display flickers until your weight
has been measured. Shortly after this, the measuring result is shown in the large
display field, the target weight in the upper right-hand field and the difference
( =Delta) between the target weight and the measured weight in the lower right-
hand field (Fig. 7). The scale switches off 15 seconds after you step down from it.
The measuring result remains visible during this time.
If the scale detects an error during weighing, "Err" appears in the display (Fig. 8).
Make sure that you always switch on the scale first and wait for the display "0.0" (Fig.
2) before stepping on.
