Explanation of the symbols
The lightning symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. electric shock.
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function and
use.
The "arrow" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety instructions
T he warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to ob-
serve these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any con-
sequential damage!
N or do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused
by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not
permitted for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy. Keep devices that operate on the mains voltage
out of the reach of children. Therefore, be especially careful when child-
ren are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product is only intended for use in dry, indoor locations. No part of the
product should be allowed to become damp or wet; never take hold of it if
your hands are wet!
With the wall plug transformers there is also the deadly peril of an electric
shock!
• Do not pull the wall plug transformer from the mains socket by pulling on
the cable. Take hold of it on the sides of the housing and pull it out of the
mains socket.
• If the wall plug transformer is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to
life from electric shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the wall plug
transformer is connected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker
or, for example, or remove the safety fuse) and then switch off at the cor-
responding RCD switch, so the socket is fully disconnected from the mains
voltage.
You can then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dis-
pose of the faulty wall plug transformer in an environment-friendly way, do
not use it any more.
Replace it with a new wall plug transformer with the same specifications.
• The design of the wall plug transformers complies with protection class II.
Only use a standard mains socket as the voltage source for the wall plug
transformers (see section „Technical Data").
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental drops, even from a low height.
Connection
• First switch off all devices, to which you will connect the radio transmission set.
• Connect the transmission stick to the HDMI output of a playback device, e.g. the
HDMI output of a PC graphics card, a laptop or a DVD/Blu-ray player.
The power of the transmission stick may be supplied either via one of the two wall
plug transformers included in the delivery or the USB cable included.
W hen using the USB cable make sure the USB port used to supply the power
provides a current of 500 mA (e.g. the USB port on the rear of a computer).
• Now connect the receiver module to a free HDMI input of your playback device
(monitor or TV) using the supplied HDMI-compatible connection cable.
• Connect the receiver module to the mains voltage using the supplied wall plug
transformer.
T he receiver module can be mounted to the wall via two holes. Furthermore,
there is a camera thread for the fastening on a corresponding support.
Should your receiver module has a USB type A jack, this is only to be used
for configurations by the manufacturer. Do not connect any USB device!
Getting started
• Switch on the receiver module by pressing the power button briefly. The correspon-
ding power LED in the button lights up.
• Afterwards, turn the receiving terminal (monitor/TV) on. Furthermore, select the cor-
rect input to which the receiver module is connected.
• Switch on the playback device (computer, DVD/Blu-ray player).
• After a few seconds the image of the playback device should appear on the receiver
terminal/ device (monitor/TV). The transfer LEDs on the transmission stick and the
receiver module light up.
• By pressing the " " key on the transmission stick or the receiver module the trans-
mission channel (e.g. CH2) and the image resolution (e.g. 1080p) are displayed.
T he transmission LED on the transmission stick flashes quickly if there is no
HDMI signal, or flashes slowly, if the HDMI signal is not recognised correctly
(e.g. resolution not supported).
Information about the range
The transmission range between the transmission stick and the receiver module is
max. 10 m.
The range can sometimes be limited considerably by:
• walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated / metallised insulating glass
• Proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g., radiators)
• Proximity to human bodies
• Devices on the same frequency (radio video systems, WLAN devices, etc.)
• Proximity to electronic devices, electric motors, transformers, network compo-
nents, computers
• The proximity to improperly shielded or uncovered operating computers or other electric
appliances
Therefore, an exact indication of the attainable transmission range is not possible and it
depends on the local conditions.
If you detect any blackouts, interference or similar, change the installation location of the
receiver module. Do not place the receiver module behind a television set.
Maintenance and cleaning
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled for
any reason.
Disconnect the product from the mains supply before cleaning.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents as these can cause discolouration.
Do not press too strongly on the surface when cleaning, to prevent scratch marks.
