3.3 Hearth and Mantel Clearances

The following drawings show the hearth and mantel clearances
allowed for the CLW-40 with no surround, or optional surrounds,
installed. Follow the drawings and the masonry guidelines below
for the minimum distance needed between the hearth, mantel, and
sidewall to allow for proper servicing clearances.
3.3.1 Masonry Finishing Guidelines
for Optional Surrounds
• Figure 3.5 shows where to end masonry finishing materials,
when measuring from the finishing edge, to allow installation of
any optional surround. Most masonry material will not fit behind
the optional surround(s) when it is installed.
