2.3 Minimum Shelf Requirements

IMPORTANT: Additional 1" (25mm) combustible trim on top of existing
materials is NOT allowed inside the side shelf enclosure (Fig. 2.5). When
installing this plenum kit to discharge inside a side shelf enclosure, you
can only have any additional combustible trim installed on the front of
the fireplace. See Section 3.1 on page 10 .
• The drawing below shows the framing requirements if you desire
the air discharge opening to be located within the bump-out or
bookshelf framing.
