9. Allow the training to fade out with a
slow pace and low torque resistance.
Finish off with a few stretching exer-
cises.
Make your training more intense
with the expander bands (16):
Grab both expander grips and pull
them alternately or simultaneously
towards yourself or by your side
(Picture M).
With this training it is also advisa-
ble to slowly increase the intensity
of the training.
PLEASE NOTE: When training
with expander bands, always
ensure you are sitting securely
and balanced so that the device
cannot tip to one side!

will fi nd training videos and lots of training
tips.
The most common mistakes and
how to avoid them
The hands must always be consid-
ered to be a straight extension of the
arms. They should not be bent down-
wards or upwards on the handlebar.
This is because what is known as a
bent hand can over time cause joint
pain or numbness in hands or fi ngers.
Adjusting the saddle correctly is the
most important thing. If it is too low,
the training of the leg muscles will be
ineff ective. In addition, the joints in the
knees will be placed under too much
strain. If it is too high, the force trans-
mission suff ers.
Rule of thumb: When a pedal is on
the way up, the angle between the
thigh and lower leg must not be more
than 90 degrees. Or to put it another
way: When stretched out, the angle
between the thigh and lower leg must
be no more than 170°.

Many athletes tend to raise their
shoulders when exerting themselves
or fall into a kind of bent-over hunched
posture. Both are incorrect as this
places too much strain on the neck
muscles and can block them. Conse-
quences: Neck pain and headaches.
The upper body should not pivot back
and forth too much – this just wastes
valuable energy and is ineff ective.
The best option is to have a straight
and steady upper body which remains
harmonious while the legs do the most
work.

Cleaning and Storage

PLEASE NOTE!
After each use, store the training de-
vice in a place where children cannot
use it.
Do not use any caustic or abrasive
cleaning agents or pads to clean the
training device. They may damage the
surfaces.
Only clean the training device with a
damp, soft cloth and mild detergent if
necessary. Then dry all parts with a
dry, soft cloth.
Store the training device away in a
clean, dry, frost-free place which is
protected from direct sunlight and
is out of the reach of children and
animals (see the "Positioning the
Training Device" chapter – "Storing the
Device After Training").
