9. SUGGESTIONS FOR PUTTING
THE APPLIANCE OUT OF SERV-
ICE, DISMANTLING AND DISPOS-
ING OF IT
If the dryer is no longer to be used, it is
advisable to make the door lock useless and
put the machine out of service, disposing of
the resulting materials, in view of the indica-
tions provided in the chapter "Prescrip-
tions, restrictions and other uses".
Cover exhaust outlets. Disconnect the power
cord from the main switch and cover the
cable clamp, if provided.
For the sake of the environment, please, sort
the materials in accordance with the waste
disposal provisions in force in your country,
so that they can be properly disposed of or
recycled. All the parts composing the case
can be treated as solid urban waste, except
for the metal parts, which nevertheless are
not classed among special waste in most
European countries.

the end of its life cycle.
Once the appliance has reached the end of its
life cycle, the user must therefore take it to a
suitable pre-sorted waste centre for electronic
and electro-technical appliances, or return it
to the dealer on purchasing a new similar
appliance, on a one for one basis.
Adequate pre-sorted waste collection before
subsequently sending the appliance for
recycling, treatment and environmentally
compatible disposal helps avoid possible
negative effects on the environment and
health and favours the recycling of the
materials making up the appliance.
