Priority Scan Modes

This scanner allows four different Priority modes. These modes also
function in Search and Hold modes (except Close Call Only mode).
(Default = Off)
In Scan or Search mode, press Func then Pri/1 to view the Priority
menu.
Scroll to highlight one of the following option and then press Pgm/E to
select it:
Priority Off- does not check for priority channels.
Priority DND- checks Priority channels every 2 seconds only
when not receiving. If you set Priority mode to Priority DND, the
scanner turns on the
Priority Scan- checks Priority channels every 2 seconds. If you
set mode to Priority Scan, the scanner turns on the PRI icon
during scanning or searching.
Priority Plus- scans only Priority channels in enabled banks. If
you set Priority mode to Priority Plus, the scanner turns on the
PRI+ icon during scanning.
Exit- Return to previous mode.
Note: If no Priority channels are enabled for scan, Priority Scan No
Channel displays and Priority mode is set to Off.

Manually selecting a Channel

You can continuously monitor a single channel without scanning. This is
useful if you hear an emergency broadcast on a channel or if you want to
monitor a specific channel.
1.
To manually select a channel, press Hold and enter the
channel number.
2.
Press Hold again.

Locking Out Channels

You can increase the scanning speed by locking out channels that have
a continuous transmission.
