Tips for Use

Do not drill in places where there could be any hidden wiring, or
gas or water pipes Always inspect the place you intend to drill into
with a metal detector first
Use only perfectly sharp drill bits when drilling into metal
When drilling into stone or concrete, only use drill bits with a ce-
mented carbide edge designed for this purpose
Always adjust rotation speed depending on the material you are
drilling into and the diameter of the drill bit used
Impact Drilling
Use protective glasses and ear protection
Do not press too hard onto the hammer drill Doing so will not re-
sult in any significant increase in its effectiveness
Always work with the detachable handle (8) mounted
Before turning the device on, check that the function switch (3) is
set to the correct mode
Drilling into Tile
First, slowly drill into the tile without hammer action turned on
Once you have drilled through the tile, switch to hammer drilling
and drill away the underlying material
Long-term Storage
After the device has been stored for an extended period of time,
it may not operate at full capacity right from the start when in im-
pact drilling/chiselling mode It is a common problem caused by
hardened lubricant in the impact drilling mechanism Leave the
device running in impact drilling/chiselling mode under load until
the impact drilling mechanism warms up
If you still have any issues after this, please contact an authorised
repair centre
