Storing lithium-ion batteries
• Store fully charge batteries in a dry and dust-free environment
at an ambient temperature between 5 °C and 40 °C If you are
not using the batteries for a longer period of time, we recom-
mend you charge them fully once every three months
• Keep the battery contacts clean Do not store the replacement
battery together with metal items as it may cause a short cir-
cuit
• It is always necessary to charge batteries that were not used for
a long time prior to use
Transporting lithium-ion batteries
As per legal regulation, lithium-ion batteries fall into the hazard-
ous load category These batteries must be transported while com-
plying with local, national, as well as international guidelines and
regulations
• Consumers may transport these batteries on public roads
without a problem
• Commercial transportation of lithium-ion batteries by trans-
portation companies must comply with the regulation on
hazardous load transportation Only trained personnel may
carry out the preparation and the actual transport The entire
process must have expert supervision
The following must be maintained during battery transpor-
tation:
• Make sure that contacts are protected and isolated to prevent
a short circuit
• Be careful so that a large number of batteries do not move
around or fall and collapse during transport
• Damaged and leaking batteries cannot be transported
Please contact your carrier for additional information
Warning!!
It is not expected for the user to perform any service repairs on the
charger There are no spare parts inside the charger, which users
could repair on their own It is necessary to bring the charger to
your nearest authorised service centre to prevent damage to spare
parts, which are sensitive to static electricity, for example
Always use the right set of batteries (the set delivered with the
tools or a replacement set recommended by Narex sro) Never
use any other sets of accumulator batteries because they could
damage your tools and cause a hazardous situation

Function principle

A spindle with the tool is powered by an electric motor with a
transmission and an impact mechanism
The work process is divided into two phases:
1 Driving a screw
2 Tightening (the impact mechanism is activated)
The impact mechanism is activated only once the screw joint
is fixed – the motor is engaged The impact mechanism thereby
changes the power of the motor to even the rotary impacts
This process is reversed when loosening screws

Instructions for use

Mount the device, which must be turned off, onto a nut/screw.
The torque depends on how long the impacts last Maximum
torque is based on individual torques reached by the impacts Max-
imum torque is reached once impacts run for ca 3 seconds From
this moment on, the torque increases only slightly; however, it
noticeably heats the impact mechanism Overheating wears down
the impact spare parts and uses up higher amounts of lubrication
The impact period must be designated for each required torque
The actual tightening torque reached must be continuously veri-
fied using a torque key
The default status of the screw joint and its technical specification
is always an important factor for reaching the tightening or loosen-
ing device performance
There are two typical joints to be used:
Hard joint:
Using a screw joint to tighten two or more (usually) steel parts,
which do not flex, nor are they deformed in any way as a result of
tightening pressure
Soft joint:
Using a screw joint to tighten two or more parts, where at least
one part is from such material or is made in such a way that the
tightening pressure deforms or flexes it

Commissioning

Inserting and removing a battery
Insert the battery (1) into the shaft on the bottom side of the ma-
chine handle all the way Pull on the battery to make sure it is fitted
properly
To remove a battery (1) from the machine, push on both battery
clamps (2) and pull the battery out
Turning the device ON
Pressing on the switch button (3) and gradually pushing on it will
regulate speed If you press the switch button (3), the LED work ar-
eal light (6) will automatically switch on It is used to light up the
work space directly in front of the machine – clamped device
Turning the device OFF
Release the switch button (3) The rundown of the spindle is de-
creased using the brake after being turned off
A lower speed is suitable for guiding the nut/screw/bolt/drill bit
etc into the material
ATTENTION! Long-term use of variable rotation speeds
is not recommended. It can lead to switch button dam-
age.
Changing the rotation direction
Using the turn direction switch (4) changes the rotation direction:
• Push down from right to left – clockwise
• Push down from left to right – counter-clockwise
• Button is in between – protection against accidental start
Attention!
If you wish to change the position of the shift button, first check
that the switch button is released
Note:
You may hear a loud click when you first use the device after
changing the rotation direction This is normal and does not indi-
cate a problem
Tool fastening
When mounting tools, always make sure that these attachments
are mounted on a 3/8" spindle (5) or to a transfer adapter all the
way (10)

"TRAFFIC LIGHT" LED indicator (7)

Battery charge status (capacity) indication:
Activates automatically once you press the switch button (3) and
switches off after approx 3 seconds The following LEDs light up
depending on the state of charge (capacity) of the accumulator:
• Accumulator is fully charged: all three status LEDs light up –
green, yellow and red
• Accumulator capacity has dropped below ca 60%: only two
status LEDs light up – yellow and red
• Accumulator capacity has dropped below ca 30%: only one
status LED lights up – red
Indication of Reversible Defects
• Indication of low accumulator voltage – can occur when the
accumulator voltage reaches dangerously low levels that
could prevent repeated, proper and safe recharging The con-
trol system will automatically disconnect the motor and a red
status LED will start flashing; release the switch and press it
again If the problem persists, take the accumulator out of the
machine and place it in the charger to recharge it Insert the
other (spare) accumulator into the machine and proceed with
your work
