21-Pole Interface Pl
A 21-pole interface is installed for retrofitting to digital operation. Before you retrofit it, make sure that everything
is functioning correctly in direct current operation. Pull the Jp bridge plug off vertically (Figure 4) and store care-
fully. Now precisely attach the digital decoder following the decoder manufacturer's installation instructions. Get
in contact with your decoder supplier or manufacturer for questions on functioning and installation. Remember
that liability is not accepted for subsequently installed decoders.

Locomotive Sound
The tender is completely set up for locomotive sound operation. The tender box should be removed for install-
ing the loudspeaker (refer to the paragraph on Opening the Tender). In addition, you have to carefully remove
the mainboard by loosening the two S3 screws (Figure 4).
The loudspeaker (such as from ESU with d = 23 mm) can be snapped into the Ls sound capsule with the
membrane downward after loosening the two screws. You can vertically attach the sound decoder onto the
21-pole interface instead the Jp bridge plug or a different decoder. There are already two SPK connecting sol-
dering eyelets on the printed circuit board for connecting the loudspeaker (Figure 4). Always read the instruc-
tions of the decoder and loudspeaker manufacturer.
Loksound
Le tender est préparé pour accueillir un Loksound. Pour installer le haut-parleur demontez la caisse du tender
(voir ouverture du tender) et devissez la platine principale fixée avec les deux vis S3, ill. 4.
Encliquetez le haut parleur, p.e. ESU avec un diamètre de 23 mm, dans l'orifice Ls avec la membrane vers le
bas. Connectez le décodeur sound verticalement sur la prise 21 broches Jp. Pour le branchement du haut-
parleur deux points de soudures SPK se trouvent sur la platine. Veuillez lire attentivement les instructions du
fabricant du décodeur et du haut-parleur.

Pour la digitalisation une prise 21 bro-
ches est montée. Avant digitalisation
assurez-vous du bon fonctionnement
des fonctions analogiques. Retirez ver-
ticalement la prise Jp, ill. 4 et conservez
la soigneusement. Maintenant branchez
le décodeur dans la prise en observant
exactement le schéma de montage.
