››› VARIABLE THERMOSTAT
If the thermostat control is set to its highest setting (hard to the right), the heating
element will he switched on most of the time. It the thermostat is moved to the left
(lower salting), the heating element will switch off from time to time and then switch
on again. The yellow indicator light remains lit as long as the heating element is
switched on.
After use, return the thermostat to its lowest setting and unplug the appliance from
the mains supply.
››› OPERATION
Place the grill stone and the double-sided grill plate on the unit, ensuring that the
locating groove on the grill stone is properly secured by the corresponding lugs
on the holding bracket. For safe operation, the additional ridge on tile grill plate
must sit securely in front of the loos on the holding bracket.
Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket and push the thermostat all the way to
the right. Let the appliance preheat for about 10 minutes to reach the required
temperature.
Place the food to be cooked on the grill plate or on the stone as required. The grill
plate can also be used for preparing crêpes or pancakes.
Put the raclette cheese into the minipans. Place the mini-pans in the appliance,
under the heating element, and leave them until the cheese has melted.
WARNING: Do not place empty mini-pans in the appliance while it is switched
on.
When grilling is finished, push the thermostat all the way to the left and unplug
the appliance from the mains.
››› HOW TO PREPARE RACLETTE CHEESE
Use about 200 to 300 grammes of cheese per person. Cut the cheese into slices
of about 3 to 5 mm thickness and put them into the mini-pans. It is preferable to
use original raclette cheese. Any other fast melting cheese, however, is also suitable.
Due to the above heat, the cheese will melt quite quickly.
