INSTALLING AIR QUICK COUPLER
Prepare a standard 1/4 in. NPT male air quick coupler (sold separately) for use with your tool.
1. Wrap the external threads of the male quick coupler with sealant tape.
a.
Wrap the tape in a clockwise direction so it will not unravel.
b.
Do not tape all the threads. Leave several leading threads unwrapped for
easier alignment.
2. Screw the quick coupler into the tool's air inlet and tighten with a wrench until snug.
3. Run compressor at a low volume and check the connection for air leaks. Do not use the tool
until all air leaks are repaired or the faulty component is replaced.
UNPACKING
1. Carefully remove the parts and accessories from the box.
2. Make sure that all items listed in the parts lists are included.
3. Inspect the parts carefully to make sure the tool was not damaged while shipping.
4. Do not discard the packaging material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily
operated the tool.
WARNING! If any part is missing, do not operate the tool until the missing parts are replaced.
Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.
INSTALLATION
SELECTING SANDPAPER
Selecting the correct size and type of abrasive grit is extremely important in achieving a high
quality sanded finish.
Aluminum oxide, silicone carbide and other synthetic abrasive are best for power sanding. To
produce the best finish possible, start with a coarse grit sanding paper and gradually change
to finer and finer grit sandpapers. A final sanding with well-worn fine sandpaper will produce a
professional looking finish that in many cases will not need hand sanding.
OPERATION
SANDING
1. Connect the sander to its power source.
2. Turn the sander on. Wait until it has reached maximum speed before placing it onto the work
piece. Make sure the surface to be sanded is free of any debris before placing the running
sander onto the surface.
3. Move the sander slowly using forward and backward strokes.
4. Do not put additional pressure on the sander. This will slow down the speed of the pad and
reduce sanding efficiency, as well as put an additional burden on the tool.
5. Always remove the sander from the work piece before shutting the sander off.
