Possible Cause
• High ambient temperature
• High internal drive temperature
• Drive in direct sunlight
• Obstruction in fan air flow
• A fault was detected internal to the drive
• DIP switches are incorrectly set
• DIP SW2:1 is incorrectly set
• Analog pressure transducer is incorrectly wired
• Analog pressure transducer signal is outside
of the expected range
• Analog pressure transducer is disconnected
• Analog pressure transducer is damaged or failed
• Drive ran at full speed for 10 minutes without
reaching pressure set point
- Large water draw, such as sprinkler system
or filling a pool, did not allow system to
reach pressure set point
- Broken pipe or large leak detected in
the system
Corrective Action
• Check air screen for debris; clean as necessary
• Check for proper fan operation; replace as necessary
• Internal drive temperature must be below 80 °C prior to C7 the motor,
or below 70 °C prior to starting a motor after a Locked Pump Fault
(Fault Code 3)
• Refer to drive placement recommendations for outdoor use
• Contact your Franklin Electric service personnel
• Unit may require replacement; contact your supplier
• Verify DIP switch settings per instructions
• Verify DIP SW2:1 is in the XDCR (up) position if using an
analog pressure transducer
• Inspect analog pressure transducer wiring connections
• Replace analog pressure transducer
• Check plumbing for a large leak or broken pipe
• If system contains a sprinkler system or is being used to fill
a pool or tank, disable Broken Pipe feature
