BM-88P Waterproof Bluetooth

Intended use
The waterproof Bluetooth® shower speaker is used for music playback via coupled Bluetooth®
devices. It also features a built-in Bluetooth® speakerphone.
Power is supplied by the built-in rechargeable battery. This may be charged only via a suitable
USB connection.
Devices that are equipped with a USB charging or power supply socket can be charged or oper-
ated with the additional USB output.
The speaker is resistant to strong sprays of water but may not be submerged in water.
Any other use than that described above, could lead to damage to this product and involves the
risk of short circuits, fi re, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be modifi ed or rebuilt, and the housing must not be opened.
This product complies with the applicable national and European requirements.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any resulting
damage.
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by incorrect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void.
In the operating manual, an exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates impor-
tant instructions.
The "hand" symbol indicates special information and advice on operating the
device.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation to the product is not
permitted.
• The speaker's rechargeable battery may be charged only via a suitable USB connection.
• Do not immerse the speaker in water or other liquids.
• Do not expose the speaker to high temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy mechanical loads.
• Inspect the speaker from time to time for damage. If it shows damage, do not use it anymore
and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not place open fl ames such as burning candles on the device or in its immediate vicinity.
• Use the device only in temperate climate regions and not in tropical ones.
• This product is not a toy; it is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential
dangers involved when using electrical devices.
• Do not leave packaging materials unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything for
children.
• If you have doubts about how the equipment should be operated or how to connect it safely,
consult a trained technician.
• Also observe any further safety instructions in the individual sections of this operating guide.

Operation
Recharging the Battery
Prior to initial operation, the built-in rechargeable battery must fi rst be charged. Charging takes
about 4 hours.
• Open the cover of the connection panel on the back.
• Connect the included USB cable to the USB IN 5V port (3).
• Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB connection of a computer or into a suitable

Pairing
Before it is possible to transmit between your Bluetooth® device and the speaker, both devices
must be coupled with each other. This process is called "pairing".
