3. Clean Volume Control
This control sets the level of your clean channel. As you turn it up toward its maximum, your signal
will start to compress and overdrive, much like it would in the clean channel of a good tube amp.
4. Drive Gain Control
Use this control to set the level of compression and overdrive you want in your drive channel.
This control has a very wide range, from mild overdrive to fuzzed-out mayhem.
5. Drive Treble Control
Use this control to adjust the sound of the drive channel. Start out with this set to its midpoint
and then adjust to taste.
6. Drive Volume Control
This control sets the level of your drive channel. This control will also clip and compress your
signal more as it is turned up.
7. Trem/Tape Switch
Use this toggle to choose from either a tremolo or tape delay effect.
UP: In the up position, you will have a tremolo effect that is inspired by the classic tube-
amp bias tremolo found in the Traynor YGM-3.
DOWN: In the down position, you will get an echo effect that is reminiscent of a vintage
tape-based analog delay.
8. Depth/Repeats Control
In tremolo mode, this knob controls how much the volume of your signal swells and decays
(the apparent strength of the effect). In delay mode, this control adjusts how many times you
will hear your signal echoed.
9. Rate/Time Control
In tremolo mode, this controls how quickly your volume pulsates with the effect engaged. In
delay mode, this sets how much time there will be between echo repeats.
10. Reverb Control
This controls how much reverb will be applied to your signal.
11. Master Volume Control
This sets the overall loudness of the QuarterHorse. This control is active in the headphone
output as well as the speaker output, and it should be used to regulate headphone listening
level to prevent hearing damage.
12. 24V DC Input Jack
Plug in the included AC adapter here.
WARNING!! – ONLY USE the supplied adapter or an official replacement from Traynor. Use of
unauthorized third party adapters could cause damage to your unit or personal harm.
13. Speaker Output Jack
Plug your 8-ohm or 16-ohm speaker cabinet in here.
14. Reverb Bypass Footswitch
Use this footswitch to engage or disengage the Reverb effect (LED lit = Reverb On).
15. Effects Bypass Footswitch
Use this footswitch to engage or disengage the Tremolo or Tape Delay effect (LED lit = Effect On).
16. Channel Select Footswitch
Use this footswitch to select the Clean or Drive channel (Red LED = Drive; White LED = Clean).
