FOR YOUR SAFETY

It is important that you read and understand all use and care instructions and the
important safety information before operating the Drinks Maker.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1. Close supervision is necessary when the Drinks Maker is used near children. Keep
out of reach of children.
2. WARNING: DO NOT expose the carbonating bottles to temperatures above
120°F (49°C) or below 34°F (1°C). DO NOT wash the carbonating bottles in the
dishwasher and DO NOT rinse the bottle in hot water. DO NOT place the bottles in the
freezer. Doing so will compromise the integrity of the carbonating bottle material and
may result in serious personal injury.
3. WARNING: DO NOT use the Drinks Maker to carbonate any liquids other than
plain water. Add flavour only after carbonation.
4. WARNING: DO NOT carbonate with any bottle not specifically designed to work
with this Drinks Maker. Only SodaStream 1 Liter PET bottles are designed to work
with this Drinks Maker.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND PROVIDE THEM TO ANY
SUBSEQUENT USERS BEFORE THE MACHINE IS USED.

GENERAL WARNINGS

DANGER: Misuse of this Drinks Maker may result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: DO NOT use the Drinks Maker if it is not in its upright position as
dangerous levels of CO may accumulate in bottle.

DO NOT carbonate an empty bottle.
WARNING: Carbonating bottle must be properly in place before operating the
Drinks Maker.
DO NOT move the Drinks Maker during the carbonation process.
DO NOT remove the carbonating bottle during the carbonation process.
WARNING: DO NOT use the Drinks Maker for anything other than carbonating
water. Use of this Drinks Maker for any unintended purposes may result in serious
personal injury.
WARNING: Always use the Drinks maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface
away from sources of heat. DO NOT place the Drinks maker on a hot surface (e.g.,
heating plate) and never use it close to an open flame.
To reduce the risk of personal injury or property damage, any servicing other than
cleaning and user maintenance should be performed by a SodaStream-authorised
service representative.
CO CYLINDERS

WARNING: The cylinder should be inspected prior to use for any dents, punctures,
or other damage. If any are detected, DO NOT use the cylinder and contact a
SodaStream-authorised service representative.
WARNING: Mishandling the cylinder can result in serious personal injury.
Always keep cylinder away from any heat source and out of direct sunlight.
DO NOT transport the Drinks Maker with the cylinder in place.
DO NOT tamper with the cylinder in any way.
DO NOT attempt to puncture or incinerate the cylinder.
DO NOT throw the cylinder or cause it to fall.
DO NOT handle a cylinder while it is discharging CO .
