When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including

· SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS - This manual contains important safety and operating instructions for the
models GGH200 and GGH100.
· Before using battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the battery charger, battery,
and vacuum.
· To reduce the risk of battery explosion, follow these instructions and those marked on the battery.
· Caution - To reduce the risk of injury, use battery charger only with vacuum/battery provided. Other types of
products/batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage.
· WARNING - To reduce the risk of electric shock - Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces. Do not expose to
rain. Store indoors. Do not use nozzle on wet surfaces.
· Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children or pets.
· Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer's recommended replacement parts.
· Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged,
left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center for inspection. Call 1-866-603-5900 for the
nearest service center or visit our website at www.germguardian.com.
· Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the charger or base by the cord or yank to disconnect from an outlet;
instead grasp the charger and pull to disconnect. Keep cord away from heated surfaces. Do not pull cord
around sharp edges or corners.
· Do not close door on the charger cord.
· Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
· This product includes rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. Do not incinerate batteries or expose to high
temperatures, as they may explode.
· Unplug the charger from the outlet before any routine cleaning or maintenance.
· Do not put any object into openings.
· Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
· Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
· Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
· Do not use without filters in place.
· Turn off all controls before unplugging.
· Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
· Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may
be present.
· Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If the liquid, which is 20-35% solution of
potassium hydroxide, gets on the skin (1) wash quickly with soap and water or (2) neutralize with a mild acid
such as lemon juice or vinegar. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a
minimum of 10 minutes. Seek medical attention.
· Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.
DANGER: Electric Shock
· Always unplug the unit before servicing.
· Operate this product on 120 V AC, 60HZ only.
· Do not operate without cover in place.
· Do not defeat the interlock switch.
· Do not operate with an extension cord.
· To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this equipment has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.
If it still does not fit, contact qualified personnel to install the proper outlet. DO NOT alter the plug in any way.
· Do not operate this product if there is any physical damage to the unit.
· This product is for indoor use only.
· Do not operate this product in any area where there is a risk of the unit falling into or being exposed to water.

HOW UV-C WORKS
Ultraviolet light technology, the same technology used in hospitals and commercial settings for
sanitizing, is capable of eradicating microorganisms, mold spores and viral contaminants from
the air. It is recommended that you leave the Germ Guardian™ UV-C sanitizing base running
continuously.
