Any use other than as described above is not permitted and can damage the prod-
uct. There are also risks involved.

a) time and date setting
-
Turn the the crown counter-clockwise.
-
Pull the crown out until the first stop and set the date by turning the crown in a
counter-clockwise direction.
Please note that the setting of the date should not be carried out in the time
between 23.00 and 5.00 hours. It may damage the clockwork, since this is
when the automatic change of date is carried out by the clock's mechanics.
If the clock changes the date at 12 o'clock (noon), set the time 12 hours
ahead. Set the correct date again, if necessary.
-
Pull the crown out until the second stop and set the time by screwing the crown
in.
-
Push the crown back into normal position and screw it together again.
b) winding the watch
-
The automatic clockwork mechanism winds itself automatically on your wrist
when you wear the watch. However, the watch stops working when you do not
wear it over a long period of time (> 24 hours).
-
The watch can also be wound by turning the crown (unscrew it, but leave in
normal position) by hand. However, do not wind the watch too hard, as this can
damage it.
-
If the watch does not start again immediately, shake it briefly with a jerk to give
it the necessary start impulse.
c) rotating bezel
-
The wrist watch is equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel (ring around the
watch face). It serves to mark the position of the minute hand and thus enables
the timer function.
-
At the beginning of the period to be measured, rotate the triangle of the bezel
counter-clockwise to the minute hand position. Now you can read the elapsed
minutes at the bezel dial any time.
wAtEr-tightnEss And shock rEsistAncE
This watch is designed for normal use only. It must not be exposed to extreme shock
and impact. This could damage the clock mechanism.
As for water-tightness, please take note of the labelling on the watch and its mean-
ing.

The specified water resistance is only ensured if the crown is screwed to-
gether in normal position.
mAking thE wAtch strAP shortEr
If you only want to make it a little bit shorter, please insert the spring pin on the
folding clasp in a different hole. If it is necessary to shorten it more, you can remove
one or several joints on both side of the folding clasp from the watch strap. To do
this, take out the connecting pins of the links in question (arrows on the inside of the
wristband point out the direction) remove the excess links and replace the connect-
ing pin. A special pin removal tool is recommended for these works.
If you do not have such a tool and the corresponding expertise, let a watch-
maker perform the work.
mAintEnAncE And clEAning
To clean the watch, a dry, soft, clean cloth is sufficient. For heavier soiling of the ex-
terior, you can moisten the cloth slightly with lukewarm water. Never use aggressive
2
cleaners or chemical solutions since these might damage the surface of the case or
impair the operation of the watch.
Clean the watch very carefully; otherwise you may scratch it.
3
Do not press too heavily on the glass cover, as this can lead to breakage.
AccurAcy
The accuracy of the watch should be checked after it has been use for about a
month.
In case of major deviations, please contact a watchmaker and let him/her adjust
the accuracy.
