Lighting The Backlight (if equipped)

When in darkness or in poor light area, the backlight can be
lit up to illuminate the control knobs for easy operating.
■ Rotate the power button counterclockwise to take out
the batteries with holder. (Fig. 31)
■ Pull and remove the insulation sheet from the end of
battery holder. (Fig. 32)
■ Rotate clockwise to install back the batteries with holder.
(Fig. 33)
■ Push the power button to turn on the backlight, and
repeat to turn off. (Fig. 34)

Lighting Instructions

THE FOLLOWING RULES MUST ALWAYS BE
FOLLOWED IN THIS ORDER (FIG. 35):
1. OPEN THE GRILL LID! Any attempt to light the grill
with the lid down could cause an explosion.
2. Check that the burner control knobs are turned to
"OFF".
3. DO NOT stand with your head or arms over the grill.
