bar may push the guide bar rapidly back towards
the operator.
• Either of these reactions may cause you to lose
control of the chain saw which could result in seri-
ous personal injury.
• Do not rely exclusively upon the safety devices
built into your chain saw. As a chain saw user, you
should take several steps to keep your cutting jobs
free from accident or injury.
• Kickback is the result of tool misuse and/or incor-
rect operating procedures or conditions and can
be avoided by taking proper precautions as given
below.
• Maintain a firm grip, with thumbs and fingers
encircling the chain saw handles, with both hands
on the chain saw and position your body and arm
to allow you to resist kickback forces.
• Kickback forces can be controlled by the opera-
tor, if proper precautions are taken. Do not let go of
the chain saw.
• Do not overreach and do not cut above shoulder
height. This helps prevent unintended tip contact
and enables better control of the chain saw in
unexpected situations.
• Only use replacement bars and chains specified
by the manufacturer. Incorrect replacement bars
and chains may cause chain breakage and/or
kickback.
• Follow the manufacturer's sharpening and main-
tenance instructions for the saw chain.
• The cord should be positioned so that it will not
be caught on branches and the like, during cutting.
• Recommendation that the first-time user should,
as a minimum practice, cut logs on a Saw-horse
or cradle.
WARNING:
• The vibration emission during actual use of the
power tool can differ from the declared total value
depending on the ways in which the tool is used.
WARNING:
Avoid vibration risk suggestion:
• Wear thick safety gloves during operation;
• Limit operating time and shorten trigger time.
Assembly instructions:
IMPORTANT! Before carrying out any operation on
the chain saw, disconnect it from the power supply.
IMPORTANT! Always use protective gloves when
handling the chain.
BAR WITH "NO TOOLS" TENSIONING, WITH
TENSIONING PLATE
1. Assembly of the bar, the chain, and the hous-
ing (Fig. C):
- Place the chain saw on a flat surface and remove

the housing (18) by unscrewing the wheel (17).
- Insert the chain (12) around the bar (10) being
careful to assemble it in the correct direction.
- Pass the chain around the sprocket (19) and
positioning the bar on the pin (16).
- Pull the bar to the right to slightly tension the
chain.
- Assemble the housing (18), correctly inserting the
reference pins.
- Turn the ring (24) to tension the chain.
- Fix the housing by turning the wheel (17) as
much as possible
IMPORTANT! Do not use the chain saw before
adjusting the chain tension.
2. Adjusting the chain tension (Fig. C):
- Loosen the wheel half a turn (17).
- Turn the chain tensioning nut clockwise (24) until
you reach the correct tension. The chain tension is
correct when you are able to manually lift the chain
3-4 mm from the centre of the bar.
- If the chain is too tight, slightly loosen the chain
tensioning nut (24) and repeat the adjustment.
- When the adjustment is complete, manually
tighten (do not use pliers or tools) the central
wheel securely (17).
IMPORTANT! The chain tension must be
checked every time before you begin working,
after the initial cuts, and regularly every 10
minutes while working.
IMPORTANT! During the first cuts, when the
machine is still new, the chain will loosen
quite frequently, but this is normal during the
"breaking-in" period of a new tool.
IMPORTANT! Never leave the chain loose as it
may come off the bar while cutting.
Do not tension the chain excessively because
the lubrication system may not function cor-
rectly.
3. Filling the oil tank and lubrication of the
chain:
IMPORTANT! Do not use old or recycled oil to fill
the tank.
The chain saw is sold with an empty tank.
- Do not use the chain saw without oil or with an oil
level under the minimum as it will compromise the
proper functioning of the equipment and operator
safety.
- Unscrew the oil cap (Fig. A - no. 6) and fill the
tank with biodegradable chain oil available in
