Step
Programming
Note: If CLW1 or CLW2 are selected build-up (e.g. metal
swarf) is suppressed. If OIL1 or OIL2 are selected, a bot-
tom layer of higher dielectric water or swarf which is a
few cm high is suppressed. If no oil layer is present (or if
it is very thin), the bottom layer is detected.

Setting of the offset value
The zone between tank bottom and lower edge of the
measuring probe can be entered as offset value (OFS).
Thus display and switch points refer to the real level.
Setting at the factory: OFS = 0.
The setting values OFS are indicated in the table on page
36.
Please note: Select OFS, before setting values for the
parameters SPx, rPx and OP. This avoids inadvertent
maladjustment.
6
Setting of the overflow protection point
This parameter defines the position of the overflow pro-
tection point OP. The set value refers to the middle of the
measuring segment. Typically, OP already reacts when the
OP segment is reached.
Please adhere to the minimum distances and mounting
instructions (→ page 29). For the setting range of OP
please refer to the table on page 37.
Please note:
- Set OP before setting SPx. If the OP value is reduced to
a value ≤ after switch point setting, the SPx value shifts
downward.
- OP is the maximum limit of the measuring range.
7
Setting of the switch points
Define the positions for the switch points (SPx = upper
limit level value).
For the setting ranges please refer to the table on page
37.
8
Setting of the reset points
Access the extended functions (see step 1, EF).
Define the positions for the reset points (rPx = lower limit
level value).
For the setting ranges please refer to the table on page
37.
