ATTENTION
Read all safety precautions and instructions.
Any failure to follow these safety precautions and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/
or severe injuries and consequences.
Keep these operating instruction in a safe place
for future reference.

Intended use

This device is used for fastening cardboard, insu-
lation material, textiles, foils, leather, wood and
similar non-brittle materials to wood or wood-like
surfaces. Make sure the workpiece is appropriate
in size.
This device must only be used for the purpose
intended by the manufacturer.
1.4.
Safety precautions and
warnings
This device has been manufactured and tested in
accordance with the applicable code of practice. It
left the factory in safe and proper working order.
To maintain this condition and ensure safe oper-
ation, the user must follow the precautions and
warnings given in the operating instructions.
• This device is not intended for industrial use.
• This device is not a toy and must be kept out of
children's reach.

• The device must always be checked for proper
working order before it is used.
• If it is to be assumed that safe use is no longer
possible, the device must be taken out of oper-
ation and prevented from being used inadvert-
ently.
• Do not pull on the power cord or use it for car-
rying the device. The device must not be oper-
ated if the power cord is damaged.
• Manipulations, such as the removal or block-
age of parts on the device, are not permissible
and will result in the warranty becoming null
and void.
• Before switching on, make sure the power
source does not exceed the permissible values
given in the technical specifications.
• Do not aim the device at yourself, other per-
sons or animals.
• Only use genuine NOVUS fasteners.
• Tips and edges of fasteners being inserted
in the magazine, not driven all the way in or
becoming jammed in the magazine after a
malfunction can cause injury.
• As the tacker is only rated for short-time duty,
it should be allowed to cool down after 30
minutes when fired at a rate of 20 shots/min.
in single-stroke mode, and after 4 min. when
used in multiple-stroke mode.
• Protect from moisture and wetness.
