Installation - Strip Lights

NOTE: LED linear tubes require single end power only. Wiring to one side of the fixture is sufficient. Ensure the lamp end labeled "POWER
THIS END" is installed to the live circuit.
CAUTION: Sockets or lampholders must be non-shunted. Power flows through the LED tube.
1
Turning off the Power
□ Shut off power at the electrical panel
before beginning the installation.
2
Removing Existing Tubes
□ Remove existing fluorescent tubes and set aside to
recycle in accordance with local requirements.
3
Removing Housing Front Cover(s)
□ Remove the housing
front cover(s) and set
aside for reinstallation
later.
6
Preparing the Retrofit Brackets
□ Prepare the retrofit brackets by separating the
retrofit bracket plate (B) into three sections — two
(2) end sections and one (1) center section. This is
done by gently bending the two (2) end sections
back and forth until they separate from the center
section.
□ Bend the outside edges of the retrofit brackets
to a 90° angle at the score lines that allow the
bracket to fit the strip light housing that is being
retrofitted.
NOTE: If using with a 4-ft. Strip Light fixture, only the two (2) end sections are needed.
4
Disconnecting Wires
□ Disconnect the hot and neutral (black and white) wires from
the fluorescent ballast. The ballast is not required to operate
these 4ft. LED tubes (A).
□ Optional: Cut the wires on both ends of the ballast and
remove the ballast and starter. Dispose of the ballast and
recycle in accordance with local requirements.
5
Removing Existing Sockets and
Socket Brackets
□ Remove the existing sockets and brackets.
□ The new Retrofit Brackets created from the Retrofit Bracket
Plate (B) will replace the current ones on your Strip Light.
NOTE: Depending on the fixture, the existing fixture brackets may
be able to be used instead.
