S-BASIC User's manual

1. SAFETY

The SIBELMED S-BASIC soundproof cabin has been designed for maximum
safety. Read all instructions for use before using the cabin. Failure to do so may
result in injury to the user or the patient and damage to the product and / or
accessories.
You can obtain additional product training by contacting SIBEL, S.A.U. or your
usual provider.
1.1

INTENDED USE

Soundproof individual cabin for audiometric testing.

1.2 INDICATIONS FOR USE

The SIBELMED S-BASIC soundproof cabin is an individual camera that attenua-
tes sound waves between its exterior and interior. This characteristic of sound
attenuation allows audiometry tests to be carried out under ambient noise con-
ditions specified by the standards regarding how these types of measurements
should be carried out. (For more information consult the ISO 8253-1 and ANSI
S3.1 standards).
The cabin has a lockable access door, a window that allows mutual viewing bet-
ween patient and operator, pleasant lighting and conditioned means to make
the necessary connections, allowing the connection of an audiometer with all its
accessories between the inside and outside of the cabin.

1.3 PRELIMINARY OBSERVATIONS

This cabin has been manufactured following strict quality controls. However,
accidents can happen in the transport or storage of the cabins, so it is advisable
to make an initial review of its condition before installing it, as well as the ac-
cessories that complement it.
1.4.

WARNINGS

If you detect any deterioration in the packaging, immediately contact the trans-
port agency and your distributor before proceeding to install it. It should not
come off the packaging, bags, etc., until you fully verify the correct operation
of the equipment.
The cabin must be used in places protected from the weather.
Smoking is not allowed in the cabin.
The cabin should not be used in places rich in oxygen.
