Securing Bicycles

NOTE: For two bicycles, the best technique is to position
the bicycles front-to-back/back-to-front with the chain ring
to the outside.
1. Hang one bicycle on the inside of the bicycle rack so the
top of the wheels are each supported by a cradle.
2. Secure by tensioning each rubber strap over the top of
each tire and engaging a strap hole with the end of the
cradle.
3. Using the same fastening technique, utilize one
SwayStop pin to secure at least one wheel below the frame
where the wheel crosses the wing.
4. A second and optional SwayStop pin is provided to
secure both wheels of the bike to the rack if desired.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for a second bicycle on the other side
of the bicycle rack.

Mounting Clearance

The Bump-IT is 22.5" long from front to end, and there is
approximately 17" of inside bicycle clearance from a 2"
receiver face (Fig.4).

Maximum Weight Capacity

The maximum load weight of the Bump-IT bicycle rack
adapter is 80 pounds.

VEHICLES ONLY. DO NOT USE ON TRAILER HITCHES.
MAXIMUM LOAD WEIGHT IS 80 POUNDS. DO NOT
EXCEED WEIGHT RATING OR THE MANUFACTURER'S
VEHICLE RECEIVER HITCH TONGUE WEIGHT
RATING. THE BUMP-IT SHANK IS FOR USE ONLY WITH
APPLICABLE LIPPERT COMPONENTS AND LET'S GO
AERO BIKE AND CARGO RACKS.
MAKE SURE THE NOMOTION PIN IS PROPERLY
TIGHTENED BEFORE TRANSIT. MAKE SURE THE
BICYCLES ARE SECURELY ATTACHED TO THE
BICYCLE RACK BEFORE DRIVING.
