Driver/Software Installation
• Start your operating system. Place the CD included in the delivery in an appropriate drive on
your computer.
• The software now starts automatically and you can install the drivers/software. If the CD does
not start automatically, you have to start the installation program on the CD manually.
Follow the program's instructions.
• After installation of the driver/software connect the USB plug of the camera to a free USB2.0
port of your computer. The operating system recognises the new hardware and completes
the driver installation.
• Start the software.
Operation
• Move the front side of the camera as close as possible to the desired object (e. g. place the
front side on a daily newspaper). The maximum distance to the object is about 4 cm.
• Set a sharp, focused image using the adjustment wheel. The LEDs for object lighting may be
switched on and off by a small thumb wheel on the USB cable.
Due to the optics used the image can be focused in two magnification levels (see
technical data). To do this, move the adjustment wheel in one direction or the other
until the image is focused.
Do not overwind the adjustment wheel. Turn the adjustment wheel slowly, so that you
can focus the picture accurately.
The LED light can cause pictures or reflections that are too bright on reflective
surfaces or objects.
• Rotate the camera, if necessary, until the picture is adjusted in accordance with your needs.
• Make sure no objects touch the lens as they might damage it. Do not touch the optics (the lens
will get dirty).
• Using the button on the upper end of the microscope camera, the current image can be photo-
graphed; for this purpose, the software provided must be started.
