    WARNING EQUIPMENT UNDER PRESSURE • Always turn pump off prior to installing or changing the TruGuard cartridge. Your pump/filter system is operated under pressure and the pressure must be released before you begin work. Please see your pump/filter owner’s manual for further instructions.

    Before installing a new TruGuard cartridge, clean debris and algae out of the pool and pool equipment. Do not install the new cartridge until the pool water is clean and chemically balanced. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for water balance instructions. The TruGuard housing fits 2" or 2 1/2" pipe sizes.

    Pump Intake Line Return Line Locate an area on the return line that is at least 8” to install the Jandy TruGuard. Turn OFF the pool pump. Your pump/filter system is operated under pressure. The pressure must be released before you begin work.

    If there is a leak, turn off the pump, close the valves, and remove the TruGuard. Check that the o-ring is not pinched, and is seated properly. Replace the cartridge and hand tighten the nut.

    Add a winter algaecide following manufacturer’s instructions. IMPORTANT: Do not use biguanides or winter algaecide with copper in it. This will void the Jandy warranty. 5. Backwash the filter. Drain part of the pool water. The ammount to drain varies from one part of the country to another.

    AVERTISSEMENT ÉQUIPEMENT SOUS PRESSION • Mettez toujours la pompe hors tension avant d’installer ou de changer la cartouche TruGuard. Votre système pompe-filtre fonctionne dans un environnement pressurisé. La pression doit donc être relâchée avant intervention. Veuillez consulter le manuel du propriétaire fourni avec votre pompe-filtre pour prendre connaissance des informations supplémentaires.

  • Page 16 Le boîtier peut être orienté horizontalement ou verticalement. Pour faciliter l’entretien et la maintenance, il est recommandé d’installer le boîtier horizontalement avec la cartouche orientée vers le haut. Insérez la cartouche TruGuard dans le boîtier.
  • Page 17 Si une fuite est présente, éteignez la pompe, fermez les valves et retirez le purificateur minéral TruGuard. Vérifiez que le joint torique n’est pas pincé et qu’il est correctement enclenché. Remettez la cartouche en place et serrez l’écrou à la main.
