water softener
15) PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
PROBLEMS
The water softener
does not regenerate automatically
Water softener carry out too many
regeneration during the day
The water softener regenerates
at the wrong time
Brine is not sucked
The brine tank fills too much
CHRONOMETRIC MODEL
Water softener salt consumption is higher
or lower than expected
VOLUMETRIC MODEL
Water softener salt consumption is higher
or lower than expected
After regeneration, water is not softened
The water softener delivers salt water
The anti-overflow device intervened
to block the excessive flow of water
in the brine tank
E1 The program doesn't work anymore
E3 The control doesn't get any signal
from the cam shaft

SOLUTIONS
- make sure that the fixture is connected to power supply
- check the power connections (fig. 2) (fig.10)
- check the programmingnon (Cap.5.7 and 5.8)
- check the softener regeneration frequency
(see 5.7 and 5.8.1 "Regeneration frequency") (fig. 6, E)
- check if the programmed time is correct (see "5.7 and 5.8 Setting the time")
Verify the time regeneration program. par.5.4
- make sure network pressure is at least 2 bar
- make sure the unloading pipe isn't blocked and doesn't have too narrow elbows
flattening the pipe (fig. 4, A)
- clean the injector (fig. 9, B) (see "10 Maintenance for the installer")
- make sure the valve is not sucking air where there are the connections (fig. 9, D)
- check the salt settings in the programming (fig. 6-7, D)
(see 5.5 "Measuring out salt for regeneration")
- make sure the unloading pipe is not blocked and does not have too narrow elbows
flattening the pipe (fig. 4, A)
- make sure the valve is not sucking air where there are the connections (fig. 9, D)
- clean the injector (fig. 9, B) (see "10 Maintenance for the installer")
- make sure the working pressure is at least 2 bar
- check the value of salt in the programming
(see "5.5 Measuring out salt for regeneration") (fig. 6-7, D)
- check the valve regeneration frequency
(see 5.7 and 5.8.1 "Regeneration frequency") (fig. 6, E)
- verify volume value of the water set (see cap.5.8)
- control the frequency of the interval of regeneration set (see cap.5.8.1)
- check the power supply (fig. 2 and fig. 10) and the settings (see cap.5 "Setting the timer")
- check the presence of salt in the brine (fig. 8)
- open the front lid of the valve and check the correct screwing of the mixer screw (fig. 9, E)
if it happens only once
- The problem may be caused by lack of water during regeneration, which prevents proper rinsing
- carry out one manual regeneration cap.7.2
If the problem persists
- make sure that the water system pressure is at least 2 bar
- check that the drain pipe is not blocked and does not have too narrow elbows that
flattening the pipe (fig. 4, A)
- clean the injector (fig. 9, B)
- make sure that there is no air intake where there are the quick joints (fig. 9, D)
- make sure that the water system pressure is at least 2 bar
- make sure the unloading pipe isn't blocked and doesn't have too narrow
elbows flattening the pipe (fig. 4)
- clean the injector (fig.9, B) cap.10.1
- make sure that there is no air intake where there are the quick joints (fig.9, D).
Press a button. If the error signal doesn't disappear, the timer should be replaced
If the cam shaft is rotating, wait until it reaches the "service position", the cam shaft
and the error signal will disappear. If the error signal does not disappear and the cam
shaft keeps rotating, check that the optical sensor is not out of its seat (fig. 10, C).
If the cam shaft is not rotating, check that the connecting cables between the engine and
the control are not damaged (fig. 10,A-B).
