Regular maintenance

Note :
– Allow the fireplace to cool down completely before
working on it.
– The door will tilt only when completely lowered!
Ash removal
Leave a bed of ashes at the bottom of the hearth; it
promotes combustion and can continue to burn. Remove
excess ash when it is liable to prevent an adequate fresh air
supply to the fire (photo 1).
Wait for the ashes to cool (use a shovel or an ash vacuum)
and store them outdoors in a metal bucket until completely
cold.
Do not wait until ashes overflow the hearth.
– There is a risk of clogging the fresh-air supply to the fire
(photo 1)
– Hot ashes can damage the lower seal on the glass door.
This is not covered by the warranty (photo 2).
Cleaning the window
Using the cold handgrip, tilt the door (not more than 90°)
open (photo 3).
To clean the inner surface of the window:
– Use an oven-cleaning product (protect painted surfaces,
floor coverings, etc.).
– Wipe clean of all residues (photo 4).
– Finish with a window-cleaning product or clear water.
– Never clean the glass with an abrasive cleaner.

– Avant de procéder
refroidissement complet.
– La porte ne peut basculer que vitre abaissée !
Décendrage
Laisser au fond du foyer un lit de cendres qui favorise la
combustion et contient encore du combustible. Cependant,
retirer l'excès de cendres quand elles risquent d'obstruer
l'alimentation du feu en air frais (photo 1).
Attendre le refroidissement des cendres (utiliser une pelle
ou un aspirateur à cendres) et les stocker à l'extérieur dans
un seau métallique jusqu'à refroidissement complet.
Ne pas attendre que les cendres débordent du foyer.
– Il y a un risque d'obstruer l'alimentation du feu en air frais
(photo 1).
– Les cendres brûlantes risquent d'endommager le joint
inférieur de la vitre. La garantie ne couvre pas cette
détérioration (photo 2).
Entretien de la vitre
À l'aide de la main froide, basculer la porte (ne pas dépasser
90°) en accompagnant le mouvement (photo 3).
Pour nettoyer la face intérieure de la vitre :
– utiliser un produit d'entretien pour fours (protéger les
parties peintes, revêtement de sol...).
– essuyer pour enlever les résidus (photo 4).
– terminer avec un produit d'entretien pour vitres ou à l'eau
claire.
– ne nettoyez jamais la vitre à l'aide d'un nettoyant abrasif.
