Basic safety instructions must be observed when using electric appliances. In order to avoid the
danger of burns, electrical shocks, fire and/or personal injury, please read this instruction
manually thoroughly prior to using the appliance and follow all instructions while using this
appliance.
Carefully store this instruction manual for later use.
In the case that this appliance is given to another person, please include this instruction manual
as well.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Only plug this appliance into a standardly installed outlet. Do not use a power strip or extension cable.
The voltage given on the label of the appliance must match the voltage of your electrical grid.
When positioning the electrical cable, make sure that it doesn't present a trip hazard during use of the appliance.
Keep the electrical cable away from hot surfaces, open flames and sharp edges.
Never touch the appliance, base station, electrical cable or the plugs with damp or wet hands.
Never immerse the appliance, electrical cable or plug in water or other liquids. There is a serious risk of
electrocution!
When you pull on the plug, always pull on the plug and never on the cable.
Do not use the appliance outside.
Only use the appliance with the accompanying base station.
Be aware of the fill markings (min./max.) on the appliance. The appliance can overheat is there not enough water.
Boiling water can spray out is there is too much water.
The appliance should not be used if it is empty. Make sure that the appliance does not overheat.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
The appliance and the cover become very hot during usage. Only touch the appliance on the handles. There is a
serious risk of burns!
Make sure that the lid is always firmly closed while boiling and pouring. There is a serious danger of burns!
Make sure that the spout of the appliance is not pointed at persons or objects, as hot steam comes out of the
opening while boiling.
Always unplug the appliance and let it completely cool down before cleaning the appliance.
Children do not recognize the danger that can result from using electrical appliances. Keep children away from
appliances. Please be especially careful when using appliances if children are present!
