SEAT LEON 4X4 01-

1. Remove the side lining and the plastic sill from the luggage.

2. Remove bumper (Torx head screws around each wheel arch, along

lower edge of rear panel, beneath each light cluster (light cluster must

be removed for all models) and along top edge of bumper. Cut out in

the bumper as shown in the template. Note ! Losen licensplate light-

ning.

3. Remove bumperbeam. This will not be re-placed.

4. Cut out in the concealing cover as shown in the template.

5. Fit the ends loosely to frame-members on the car. See illustration.

6. Fit the cross-beam to the ends. See illustration.

7. Tighten all bolts with a torque wrench.

8. Fit the bumper.

9. Fit the housing and the electrical socketplate. See illustration. Tighten

all bolts with a torque wrench.

10.Replace the side lining and the plastic sill.

NOTE:

* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting points.

* All bolts are quality 8.8 - nuts 8. or when mentioned in fitting instructions

10.9 / 10.

* Don't forget the spring- and plain washers.

* Please consult your car dealer, or owners manual for the max. permissi-

ble towing mass.

* It is recommendable to retighten all fixing bolts and nuts after the towbar

has been in use for some 1000 km/600 miles.

* Do not drill through brake-or fuellines.

* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
