switch trigger hard without pulling in the lock but-
ton, as this can cause switch breakage. Operating a
tool with a switch that does not actuate properly can
lead to loss of control and serious personal injury.
Single-phase motor
The installed electric motor is completely wired
ready for operation. The customer's connection
to the power supply system, and any extension
cables that may be used, must conform with local
regulations. Check electrical connection cables
regularly for damage. Make sure the cable is dis-
connected from the mains when checking. The
mains voltage must coincide with the voltage
specified on the motor's rating plate. The con-
nection to the mains must be protected with an
appropriate slow acting fuse and only a socket
with the properly installed ground contact must
be used.
OPERATING THE UNIT
WARNING
For your own safety, keep the machine switch in off
position while performing any of the below adjust-
ing procedures. Machine should be turned on, only
if a specific step of the procedure states so and only
for that particular step.
Stopper arm adjustment
The lower limit position of the blade can be easily
adjusted with the stopper arm (Fig. 10.1). To ad-
just it, move the stopper arm in the direction of
the arrow as shown in the figure. Adjust the screw
(Fig. 10.2) so that the blade stops at the desired
position when fully lowering the handle.
Miter angle adjustment
WARNING
When adjusting the miter angle, be sure to raise the
handle fully. After changing the miter angle, always
secure the turn table by tightening the grip firmly.
1. Loosen the grip (Fig. 11.4) by turning it counter-
clockwise.
2. Turn the turn table while pressing down the
lock lever (Fig. 11.3).
3. When you have moved the grip to the position
where the pointer (Fig. 11.2) points to the de-
sired angle on the miter scale (Fig. 11.1), secure-
ly tighten the grip clockwise.
Bevel angle adjustment
WARNING
When adjusting the bevel angle, be sure to raise the
handle fully.
1. Loosen the lever (Fig. 12.1) at the rear of the
tool counterclockwise.
2. Unlock the arm by pushing the handle in the
direction that you intend to tilt the saw blade.
3. Tilt the saw blade until the pointer (Fig. 13.3)
points to the desired angle on the bevel scale
(Fig. 13.4).
4. Tighten the lever (Fig. 13.1) clockwise firmly to
secure the arm (Fig. 13.2).
Slide lock
To lock the slide pole, turn the locking screw (Fig.
14.1) clockwise.
Guide fence adjustment
WARNING
Before operating the tool, make sure that the sliding
fence is secured firmly and that no part of the tool
contacts the sliding fence when fully lowering and
raising the handle in any position and while moving
the carriage through its full range of travel.
1. When performing bevel cuts, slide the sliding
fence (Fig. 15.1) to the side and secure it with
the clamping screw (Fig. 15.2). This tool is
equipped with the sliding fence which should
ordinarily be positioned as shown in the figure:
For left bevel cuts, make sure to set the left slid-
f
ing fence (Fig. 16.1) to the correct position if the
tool head contacts it.
For right bevel cuts, make sure to set the right
f
sliding fence (Fig. 16.2) to the correct position if
the tool head contacts it.
2. When bevel-cutting operations are complete,
return the sliding fence to the original position
and secure it by firmly tightening the clamping
screw.
Laser operation
Before using laser while cutting, two batteries in
accessories should be placed in battery box (Fig.
17.2) in right side of the arm. Turn on the laser
switch (Fig. 17.1) and check if the laser line (Fig.
17.3) is in the center of the base.
Press cut
To cut small work pieces:
1. Push the carriage toward the guide fence fully
and tighten the locking screw clockwise to se-
cure the carriage.
WARNING
Insufficient tightening of the knob may cause pos-
sible kickback which may result in serious personal
injury.
2. Secure the work piece correctly with the prop-
er type of vise.
3. Switch on the tool without the blade making
any contact and wait until the blade reaches
full speed before lowering.
4. Gently lower the handle to the fully lowered
position to cut the work piece.
5. When the cut is completed, switch off the tool
and wait until the blade has come to a complete
stop before returning the blade to its fully ele-
vated position.
Slide cut
To cut wide work pieces:
1. Loosen the locking screw counterclockwise so
that the carriage can slide freely.
2. Secure the work piece with the proper type of
vise.
3. Pull the carriage fully towards you.
4. Switch on the tool without the blade making
any contact and wait until the blade reaches
full speed before lowering.
